This site presents research projects proposed by Laboratories of the Ecoles Centrale of Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes, and Paris.

They have been established in the framework of the cooperation agreement signed between these five scientific / teaching French establishments and the China Scholarship Council.

These research projects are proposed to Chinese students in order to prepare PhD in one of the French laboratories of Ecoles Centrale with the financial support of the China Scholarship Council.

You should refer to the text of the signed agreement for the details of the procedure of selection and agenda.

The detailed descriptions of the subject are given in files that could be read with Acrobat Reader. Please refer to the following table that summarizes the subjects.

In order to submit your candidature for one or more research subjects, you should:

1. Fill in the form accessible below (at the end of next point)
2. Deposit the following documents (preferred format is pdf)
   • A letter of motivation describing your professional project (for instance, do you intend, after your PHD, to work in a university, a company, a research agency, ...)
   • Two letters written by professors for the support to your candidature (Master or bachelor levels)
   • The transcripts attesting your results in Bachelor and Master (even if the Master degree is not yet fully obtained) and a copy of the last obtained diploma
   • Your up-to-date Curriculum Vitae with a recent photo and a permanent email address and all informations attesting your research background.
   These documents are to be provided in a zipped folder while filling the submission form.

After the submission form is filled (available above), candidates must also complete an online application form and submit a completed employer reference form to CSC. These forms are available at http://apply.csc.edu.cn

One copy of the signed CSC application form plus the completed employer reference form must be posted to CSC before the application deadline (December 2, 2011). Candidates must also post to CSC before the application deadline the original version of all the application documents submitted to the Ecoles Centrale of Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes and Paris.

The following agenda is planned:

• October 20, 2010: opening the call for applications on dedicated web site
• December 2, 2011: closing date for applications on dedicated web site
• December 9, 2011: initial selection on the French side sent to CSC
• End of December 2011: notification of the candidates for the jury of selection in Beihang University, Beijing
• January 9-14, 2012: interview in China for selected students (date to be confirmed)
• Beginning of March-July 2012: French language training in China
• 1st week of September 2012: Selected students arrive in France
